Taste WBK has the honor of hosting Adam Fox of CANARD WINEY, NAPA VALLEY for an exclusive Wine Dinner on April 15th. You won't find these wines anywhere else in California other than the winery itself!
This is a don't miss opportunity for a Napa Winery who's Zinfandel Vines where planted over 140 years ago. Come and hear the story of how Canard came to be. From it's 1859 origin, to the modern winery of today. You will have the chance to experience their newly released Rosé, a stunning blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Zinfandel which leans closer to a light red than a typical Rosé. Their "Adams Blend"; made mainly of Cabernet Franc,reminiscent of the famous 1st Growth Bordeaux, Chateau Cheval Blanc. "The Rescuer" built on Merlot. Yes Merlot!
It's time to get back to the stunning varietal which holds complexity, boldness and a silky smooth texture that we have all forgotten that we love! And it wouldn't be a Napa Wine Dinner with out a show stopping Cabernet Sauvignon. Bold and rich yet not over bearing...and did I mention over 140 year old vine Zinfandel? Zinfandel has long been California's darling and these low yield, high concentration vines arethe reason for it.
